Books Are Better than Articles

So here are a few...

I have not posted lately because I am finishing another book. Information will be forthcoming as the publication date approaches, and I also plan to post some excerpts.

In the meantime I have decided to post excerpts from my previous books. My books receive superlative reviews, but I have no publicity machine to promote them, so it is difficult to sell large numbers or even let people know they exist. Being contrary to the party line of the mainstream academy and media, my books are not published by big-money publishing houses with large promotional budgets. Nowadays, one can wear that as a badge of honor, rather like not going to a snooty university or not reading the mainstream media, but it means you must do your own publicity..

I will start with my most recent books and work backward. If you like the excerpts, of course I want you to buy the book. But please also re-circulate the exerpts with comments. It would also be nice if you could leave comments on the Amazon site and other sites. The important thing is that the word get out.

The first book I will feature is also the lightest and most fun to read. It is not a heavy book on politics but a kind of “self-help” guidebook: A Gentleman's Guide to Manners, Sex, and Ruling the World. (In fact, it is currently being offered at a discount on the publishers’ page.)
