Just 2 items of practical value:
Official Book Launch
Thursday, October 3, 6:00pm, Warsaw.
If you are near Warsaw in early October, my book will be officially launched there on October 3. If you are not near Warsaw (a charming city in the autumn), you can participate online (information forthcoming). The event will not be held at the Collegium Intermarium university as previously indicated but instead at a location that remains undisclosed for now due to concerns about disruption. If you are able to attend in person, please contact me individually for that information.
In addition to myself, some distinguished figures will be speaking:
Thierry Baudet is a Dutch politician, academic, and author. He is the founder and leader of Forum for Democracy (FVD)* political party and think tank, and he has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2017. He also serves as the party’s parliamentary leader.
Professor Ryszard Legutko, a former PiS MEP and co-president of the ECR group in the European Parliament, but also a well-known philosopher and the author of many books, including one published in 2016 under the title “The Demon in Democracy: Totalitarian Temptations in Free Societies”.
Paweł Lisicki, a renown Polish journalist who is also the editor-in-chief of the influential conservative Polish weekly Do Rzeczy. Lisicki is also the authors of many books about theology and history, including one which was published in 2023 in Polish under the title “The Empire of Sodom and its Allies. Sketches on the decline of Western civilization with a note of optimism in spite of everything”. Paweł Lisicki often comments the woke, totalitarian drift that has been going on in the USA.
Kevin Myers, an Irish journalist and writer now working for the Brussels Signal with a long history of writing for various renown press outlets like the Irish Independent, The Irish Times, and The Sunday Times. Kevin Myers often writes about the radical shift of the American Left, like for example here.
Constantin von Hoffmeister will speak on behalf of the the publisher, Arktos, where he serves as editor-in-chief.
More information can be found in the official announcement of the Ordo Iuris Institute for Legal Culture, which is sponsoring the event and which is the parent organization of my university, the Collegium Intermarium. Both are sponsors of the book.
Twitter / X
I must appeal to everyone on this list to consider also “following” me on Twitter (X):
I prefer the in-depth thoughtfulness that Substack makes possible to the often mindless soundbites encouraged by Twitter. But a young man who thinks highly enough of my work to kindly volunteer his time to teach me to use Twitter insists it is essential for getting the message out faster into the mainstream and that it can lead to more big-time video interviews of the kind I recently did, which will disseminate the message even faster. It is more difficult to grow subscribers on Twitter than on Substack, so that is why I am appealing to you to “follow” me there (and then “like”, comment, repost…, etc.) You can also participate in some lively exchanges.
*Speaking of FvD, they kindly just reprinted my latest article: “Will the Republicans Really Lose — Again?”
It went Woke Global Capitalist and got destroyed by oligarchy.
