These are good suggestions...but also point to a deeper problem. Those men who do stand up at the level appropriate for their lives and connections rarely receive the support of other men who agree with them and stand to gain from their actions. We need to show the same level of sex based solidarity that women do....even if that means alienating the toxic women (sorry for the redundancy) in our lives.
BINGO ! Your comment is 100% fact. I hold a very low level elected position. At a recent meeting, I took a stand on behalf of the father-child relationship. Predictably, the arrows started flying from the fems. What was really sad, standing there in that room of about 100 people, many of them fathers and divorced fathers, is that not one man would dare to say, "you know, the guy has a valid point". They claim they "would do anything for the kids", but they will never say a word that would hack off the fems. Us men are bowing down first to the fems out of fear when we should be standing up to the fems.
I make a point of sending emails and even snail mail to those I see taking action. Posts on social media work, too. It doesn't have to be much but getting a message of support, even if the person isn't offering to help, is always nice.
I'm not going to write some baloney about what we should do instead. I'm not going to bore you with all the mud of my personal story. I am going to write that I DID IT. I printed out a letter and sent it off to The White House as well as my two US Senators, Senator Duckworth and Senator Durbin. I hope you will consider doing the same.
My experience has been that most fathers will not participate in an attempted group effort like what Dr. Baskerville is asking. Instead they will insist we should be doing something else. They will talk for hours about their case, but they do not have 5 minutes to help the cause. They will not contribute a wooden nickel to the cause, but they will spend thousands chasing their next AW. The longer I was involved in "the movement", the more I came to blame the fathers for our plight.
If you are not already divorced, or your children are not already adults, you do make yourself a little vulnerable going up against a well-funded body of people who don't care about playing nice.
I don't want to put anyone off. It is certainly the case that since more of us began to come out in public, the violence of the feminist attacks have diminished in many countries.
People need to ask themselves: are you more scared of what will happen if you act, or more scared of what will happen if you do not act?
But if you are willing to spend minutes, if not hours, every week reading up on sites like this, for goodness sake start getting in the habit of doing something that will have real-life change.
The problem with a "men's rights movement" is right there in its name. Rights are for children. Men have to be the adults in the room. Adults are concerned with duties, not rights. It's no accident that the only rights-based movement in the US either masculine or conservative that has shown any success is the Second Amendment groups. That is because the text includes not merely "rights", but "militia". A duty!
Let women's groups yammer about rights. It merely infantilizes them. The Equal Rights Amendment is 102 years old and has never contained a single mention of associated responsibilities. The recent memory of an active wartime draft is what killed it for good. As one of Mrs Schlafly's pointed out, "Most women don't want to be included in the draft." This enraged Anna Quindlen, but almost nobody else ( https://www.newsweek.com/uncle-sam-and-aunt-samantha-149413).
In a custody battle, don't talk of your right to the child. Stress the child's right to you. people expect more of men, so make the most of it.
While I am willing to write a letter and try to start up a letter campaign, I'm a little reticent to recommend some on a first name basis, such as "Shah, this is Shah". I am much more familiar with Steve's work on the subject. And IMHO the defacto expert. My letter and the recommendation to others will name Steven Baskerville for that post.
If you watch the videos, you will quickly see Shah's expertise (and he has made other videos on connected topics). It is simply a concern for online privacy that leads him to withhold his surname for now. This will change if we are successful.
I'm not going to attempt to comment on the 'manosphere' as it is just another piece of nonsensical feminist linguistic engineering and there is no meaningful group that includes male sports coaches, human rights activists, female-driven porn sites, and even men explaining how to use software—all of which I have seen lumped into that ridiculous term.
But as regards that part of human rights that concentrates, naturally and rightly enough, on men's and boys' needs, I have wondered in the past at the paucity of activity, given the apparent awareness. I have concluded there are a mix of reasons for this:
* Disbelief that there is anything to do:
Many of us had to unlearn a lot of ingrained ideas, growing up under feminist influence as we did. It takes time to fully grasp the extent of the problems, especially when you've been exposed to certain narratives for so long.
* The "What's the Point?" Mindset:
It's easy to feel like things will only get worse. Society—men and children in particular—would be a lot worse off were it not for active facets of the men's rights movement. We need to remind people that we are making a difference, just as much as talk about how much more is to be done.
* Instant gratification culture:
We live in a culture of instant gratification. This is why I lecture on the longevity of the problem, showing that global organisations started against men's interests in the 1890s and by the 1920s were well entrenched. Feminism has been working against society and children for over a hundred years. We can't expect to fix it in a week! Real change takes time.
* The Need for Strong Organizations:
Some countries, like Germany, have this much better than others but we need to promote joining and growing organisations. Be a formal part of resistance; being part of something that will still be around after the current leaders (and you) retire and die away. So much was achieved in the past by individuals whose efforts were washed away as age took them. Join and be part of a real-world organisation that has real-world objectives and success: that's how we create sustainable change.
* The enemy is not sleeping:
Many who have spoken up since the 1970s have been silenced. From false accusations to firebombs and death threats, men and women who have stood up against feminists have suffered. The opposition to a healthy society isn't afraid to play dirty. We need to acknowledge this, but not let it paralyze us. Decide whether you are more concerned about being active than you are about being inactive.
* The "Analysis Paralysis" Trap:
It's easy to get lost in endless research and online discussions. But at some point, we need to act. You already know enough to make a difference. Get involved, support the organizations doing the work, and take action in your own way. Act today, doing something that will have an impact—however small—in the real world.
I urge you to support your country by getting Stephen into place. It won't take long and you will feel better for doing something to play your part.
I'm not sure what level of Hell you are in, but at 60+ years old with a past career of mostly basic medical science research at a University filled with white man hating and abusing meritless Affirmative-Action hires that didn't have a good day until they F-ed some white co-working man that once thought it was a dream job he shaped himself for since 5th grade and worked and studied hard and was hired 2 years before finishing University degree, so F-ing effective, you tell me - was it only because I am a white Christian virtue-based values raised man they hated and targeted me, or because I walked into that job and created programs that ran experimental equipment and analyze the data good enough for publication withing 3 months, and they hated a competent man that showed them to be time and resource wasting life-Joy-Hope murdering walking bags of poison vomit? Is that why they targeted me, ..
.
.. me, that had years of working, studying, socializing with men and women in 2 separate States before moving to the Satanic Witch filled level of Hell this place is .. I was years of confused because it seemed that women that would smile and pretend friendly were coordinating in abuse, and because I never knew that pure putrid vile soul-rotted demonic machine from Hell existed and never mind being wrapped in women skin as it complete the soul-feted-sucking that turned a once God Blessed beautiful little baby and girl into an empty shell that is filled with Godlessness unHoly endless Death and Horror, but there were a few of them.
Now I see them everywhere power that was once used for good or indifference is now bent to Satan's wants, the kind of corrupted walking horrors that attack instantly when an healthy manhood is suspected. Only Vagina-goddesses may exercise power in she screeches as a mod of virtueless lying vicious delusional psychotic rabid-dog like pack teach you to never let them know you have a penis and balls because next time it will be a false sexual abuse accusation and 8 or more of those things, of her minions, will testify to it. Want 10-15 years as a sexual predator being raped and beaten by inmates and guards, with they have Vag-card and unless you want to come in one day and shoot us all, you will never know fairness, honor, Justice, .. from us or the man-hating Witch-filled court system.
Don't like warnings? Call them 'complaints'. Well, there is only two things most likely to fix this;
1. black-swan event like nuke war killing 3+ billions and breaking the Satanic grip, survivers only have what local gov the create and serve in to define society so public hanging for Witches, for baby-murderer, for false-witnesser, for slimy back-stabbing reputational damagers, teachers, judges, law-makers, .. anyone that starts us back on this path, better dead killing them to protect us all and our futures than this kind of hell ever again.
2. if God sent a Real pandemic that killed all women at menopause (or older) for 4 generations before they spewed Poison and Hate everywhere for next 40+ years and would be a slap of reality to rest of world, and within 4-6 months Love, Joy, Hope, Sanity, Life and Goodness would start to solidify world-wide.
When I hear reports of a school or job shooting, I wonder if the man was as confused and abused as I was, and if so - did he kill the Witches, the right coven women and managers and others that it was Just and good to protect us from (in that they will never torment to suicide another person with immunity), that as we see with ruling and elite class and womanhood above our laws, and there is no Justice except in Death, Death, Death.
Want to shun me? I have and am for being a White man that expected my hard effective creative work, my education, my intelligence, and Joy of others and of life to give me an opportunity for a decent full life or Love, Family, Joy, livelihood, .., service in research, and more.
Now Nuke fire poured from Sky, or dead older women piled on sides of road for county trucks to take-away the Sickness the death.
"This is a feminine impulse. Women love to talk about their problems and express their feelings, and what they want more than anything is for someone to listen. They do not necessarily even want the problem solved. They just want sympathy."
Don't make the mistake of thinking because you wrote it, it's true
Welcome to the harsh world of polarisation.
Every person I know in emergency services sees through this narrative and are handicapped by fear of cancellation while they watch it unfold.
They also say "women don't want equality, they want revenge".....
NO........ men need equality in justice.
Men have been blamed unequivocally, totally, and unfairly.
They have had laws changed in women's favour that don't reflect the statistics.
386 men dead so far this year, of those 136 men directly due to women as of 9th April, 6 women died so far due to men. 2 because of women, and 2 because of their own actions.
What do we hear about?
10 women are dead, with the inference that it's all men.
I get you're trying to sit on the fence but you sit alone here.
You have a blog to write, make it stick and advocate based on truth rater than some idealistic outcome which Toxic Feminists don't want.
Most women are normally motivated and care about both sides.
You should be fighting ONLY the false narrative, not adding weight to it.
Otherwise you may as well say..... I'm pussy whipped.
The tail is wagging the dog.
The politicians are too busy living in fear of being cancelled for telling the truth.
And frankly so are you.
70% or thereabouts of politicians are men, the women are ruling their policy.
Somewhat I agree it's warranted, but not when it's cherry picked.
The media is too busy towing the line for the sake of sales.
Now you are advocating that women have a point.
I want equality, men want equality, women want equality, the nation, politicians, and the media, is feeding off inequality, the legal system is dictated to by legislation that is feeding off inequality and feminist narrative.
You have a point. All that you say is true, and yet none of it negates what I am saying. Men are the "disposable sex" (as several people have said), and they must act above the call of duty. Of course, we should aim to restore "equal justice under law" for all, but we must go far beyond that now. I do not think that men want, or should want, "equality" precisely; at least that is not the right word. Both sexes have both privileges and responsibilities that the other does not have. (The myth of androgyny is a trick allowing affluent people to enjoy the privileges of both sexes without the responsibilities of either.)
Claims for "gender equality" is what got us into this mess, and besides, women do not really want equality. They want to look up to men. I am painfully aware of the injustices men have suffered. But men should want, not equality, but their role as heads of households and community leaders. No one will give this; it must be taken, even at the cost of great sacrifice. This status of leader and head is the compensation for being disposable, and the result is something other than "equality".
These are good suggestions...but also point to a deeper problem. Those men who do stand up at the level appropriate for their lives and connections rarely receive the support of other men who agree with them and stand to gain from their actions. Hi Stephen, this is the first of your posts to pop up in my feed. Though it was never billed as a “men’s rights” case, are you familiar with the Elkins case in California, which lead to the family law task force? https://www.californialawreview.org/online/the-elkins-task-force-meeting-the-challenges-of-family-law-in-californias-courts
Thanks. What recommendations did they issue?
